How a close actually runs.
Each stage of the month, in the depth a firm needs to decide whether to hand it over. These are the working guides to the parts of Bursar that exist today, not a roadmap.
The month, in order.
The sequence every client on Bursar goes through, whether or not anyone at your firm is watching it happen.
All month
A document is requested the moment it is missing and nudged on a schedule, so the last week of the month is not a scramble for statements.
Every night
Every transaction is coded the night it posts, against a ledger the engine has learned. Every correction a person makes sharpens the next one.
When the statement lands
Each account is proven against the bank line by line, and only genuine exceptions reach a person.
Before you see it
A credentialed reviewer verifies the file and signs off. Nothing is delivered unsigned.
Two to three days later
Statements, reconciliations, coded transactions, collected documents and the open-items memo, on your letterhead.
The guides.
The guides below are the same material at page length. Each one is the current account of how that stage behaves, including where it behaves differently on QuickBooks than on Xero.
